Business Innovation Center, Kragujevac marked the third anniversary and during the ceremony presented the results of the project activities. In the presence of its founders, BIC tenants, representatives of the European office for the project RSEDP2 in Belgrade and friends, an IT training center was opened for training of representatives of SME’s and students within the project "Virtual Incubator program for SMEs" supported by the EU.
During the three-year period of existence and operation of Business Innovation Center number of activities were organized as support of developing young companies, among them business plan writing, business consulting during pre-incubation and the use of office space and other resources of this center (consulting services, conference and presentation area, a free parking space, etc.). According to the Director, Dragan Rankovic, since the foundation, BIC incubated 22 companies with 90 employees, of which 6 companies successfully completed the process of incubation.
-As a result of the project that we present today, and the project is "Virtual Incubator program for SMEs", BIC's activities will be expanded, and besides real incubation we can offer a virtual way of incubation, or a virtual way of doing business through the so-called, virtual office - said Rankovic.
Project Assistant of "Virtual incubator program for SMEs" project, Vojislav Veljković explains that through this project will be established a complete telecommunications system that supports virtual offices, which includes an answering machine or call forwarding to any location, use of free on- line applications, audio-video conferencing, etc.. In the IT training center will be organized trainings for students and representatives of the SME sector.
The project is being implemented in partnership with the City of Kragujevac, Law, Economics and the Faculty of Engineering Science, University of Kragujevac and the General Association of Entrepreneurs "SLOGA", a project associate is the Business Center in Hanover, the total value is around € 142,000.
Plans of activities in the coming year are focused on: better support for young entrepreneurs, the intensification of cooperation with the University of Kragujevac, developing a network of consultants, developing new services for tenants and third parties, expanding activities on virtual office especially in educating and preparing future clients to use resources and services for the operating of entrepreneurial firms.
