The Business Innovation Centre, today officially signed a contract establishing the Info Corner in the project "Destination Kragujevac." The project implemented by the Italian government investment fund Finest, a partner in the project, the Agency for Export Promotion and Investment Promotion Opportunities and BIC. Contract on establishing the Info Corner Finest was signed by the President, Renato Pujati and Dragan Rankovic, director of BIC. This corner will function as a contact point for information and promotion of services for companies from the north-east region of Italy and from other states who are interested in investing in the Serbian market, or have already started their investment in Serbia.
- Serbia is a country that offers great possibilities for the business, especially nowadays when many developed economies face the global financial crisis. I believe that our economic revival rests on small and medium enterprises operating abroad, and Kragujevac, after investments of Fiat Group has become a very attractive investment destination - said Pujati.
Investment fund Finest appointed a budget of 167 million euros, which are intended as an aid to Italian companies interested in doing business in the Serbian market.
The signing was attended by deputy director of SIEPA Goran Dzafic, deputy mayor Nebojsa Zdravkovic who denoted that Kragujevac was one of the first three cities, which have been declared as area with the most favorable business climate and the best investment destinations by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED).
- Opening of the Info Corner Kragujevac is important for the whole region. As city we offer fully-equipped locations with infrastructure for future investors. Info box will function for at least two years, and in its premises two experts with knowledge of English will be available to Italian and Serbian companies that are interested in working in this area.
